Well I am not a parent; however, I do see a lot of kids wear their sneakers with no socks all the time. Some parents do not mind at all, and some do. If I was a parent, I would allow my kid(s) to wear their sneakers with no socks if it is not too cold outside. If it is cold outside, (This is when it is like in the single digits) then they must wear socks. I would not be too concerned about it. I think by now your kids' feet are used to the cold weather, and they are used to not wearing socks in their sneakers. I think the only time you should be concerned if they get a blister, but since your kids been doing this for quite some time, they may not even get a blister. P.S You might want to use spell check before you submit your question. You made quite a few spelling errors on this question.

I rarely wear socks, and never really have done differently.. I don't think it's that big of an issue really, unless it's extremely cold out. In which case it probably would be a good idea to wear sock thick socks if you're going to be wearing sneakers through the snow..

I sometimes wear sneakers with no socks in the winter. I would let my daughter do so if she wanted, but she likes to wear socks because her feet are very tender and she gets blisters if she doesn't wear socks with her shoes.
I think it's all a matter of preference, but you shouldn't have to deal with smelly shoes either. I'd suggest that they put Odor Eaters in the soles of the shoes or use foot powder to control the odor.

I allow them to only go bare foot indoors during the winter. If they are going to be outside, socks are a must! I also require them to wear socks if they are going to be somewhere like my mothers house where there are hardwood floors.

FYI...We live in Arkansas and my children are ages 5 and 8.

Good luck to you! I know it's not always easy to get them to wear what we want them to!

Well i do not suppose socks have something to do with their toes being in well form. My youngsters run across the apartment barefoot always - all of us do. And in AZ, wherein we are from, it is hot always so that is no longer a main issue within the wintry weather. I do continuously cause them to put on socks of their shoes despite the fact that - they sweat like their dad.

I think their age is a factor. If they are young enough to still have to listen to me, then they'd have socks on when they're outside. As long as they wear shoes and they don't seem cold, I don't think it matters.
