My 9 month old sleeps from 8:30pm-7:30am. He takes 2 or 3 naps during the day. He takes a morning nap, afternoon nap and sometimes an evening nap. The naps total about 4 hours. So altogether he gets about 15 hours of sleep in a 24 hr. period.

Hope that helps:)

That is excellent!!! I can't tell you how wonderful that is. I am convinced after reading other questions on this site and talking with my other mom friends that the majority of children out there are sleep deprived. I have a day care in my home and I deal with over tired babies on a daily basis. Your baby still needs 2 naps a day of at 2 hours each, an hour and a half at the very least. I would say if she's waking at, let's say 8 am, then she should be back down for a morning nap at 10 am. She should be up again between 11:30 and 12, then lunch and playtime. Her afternoon nap should be around 1pm to 2pm and then up again by 3 or 4. The young infants that I keep are on a nap schedule of 9am and 1pm, but of course they are awake at 6:00 am so their parents can bring them to me when I open at 7:30. Any way, keep up the good work with her sleep, the better rested she is the more she will benefit from her awake time with you and the less likely that she will develop serious sleep issues as she gets older.

That is a great amount of sleep. My kids usually sleep between 10-11 hours a night (ages 29 months and 3 1/2). Sounds like your baby is getting the right amount!

12-14 hours sleep at night is normal at this age. A 9 month old will usually still take 2 naps during the day, about 2-3 hours each. Sometime between now and her birthday, she may transition to just one nap :)

My bub goes to bed at 8p.m. and wakes up between 3:30a.m. and 5:30a.m. for a feeding but goes right back to sleep after eating and being changed - then she wakes for the day around 8:30a.m. She will take a nap around 10 or 11a.m. for like an hour, after that, she takes really, really short naps all day long. Maybe like 3 - 20 min. naps. It drives my mother in law nuts cuz she can't get anything done cuz she is up so much and demands a lot of attention. I work from 9 - 5p.m so by the time I pick her up and get her home (25 min. drive home from grandmas house) she is almost ready for bed. My bub just turned 3 months yesterday. Your baby is good to go! You are doing everything right!

I would say maybe one or two 2 hour naps at the most. My daughter is 8 months and she sleeps from 8 PM to 8 AM. She takes 2-3 one or two hour naps. You are so lucky. Also, I think the average amount of sleep they need is like 14 hours.

that sounds right, my daughter is 16 months old she goes to bed between 9:30pm-10:30pm and sleeps until about 9-9:30 am , she usually just takes 1 nap during the day about 1 or 2 . but it sounds like shes doing good.

That is a good 12 to 13 hours . But don,t worry everyone is different. You are very lucky to have a baby that will sleep for you like this. I have had 3 children and raised 3 other babies and they all sleep differently. She is going to be a sleepy head her whole life most likely.

dont worry. my son will sleep from 5-6 pm till 7-8 the net morning onnly waking up to eat his morning bottle then going back to sleep. sometimes i even get to sleep until 11 because he will play and sleep on the bed next to me, then wont take a nap during the day. babies will get the sleep they need, they listen to thier bodies bettter than adults do. when theyre tired theyll sleep. when they arent, they wont. now, if she wont sleep for more than 24 hours or sleeps for more than 12 hours in a row, you should call the doctor. there are medical conditions that you should be aware of if your child has one. if you are still worried about it, call your docotr and talk to him about it.
