...think they can vote away terrorism and vote for peace instead? And just skip the action part?

Is that why so many Dems are poor? Because they can't follow through on anything?

As you can see by the answers you received, they just don't get it. I especially like the one that says that the terrorists won't follow us back here if we pull out of Iraq. There's a Kool Aid drinker for you.

For the most part, democrats do not support excessive military spending. In case you forgot, the President who finally involved himself in WWII was a Democrat.
The willingness to support peaceful negotiation over "action" (economic sanctions are active and nonviolent for the most part) does not mean dems don't act.
In case you forgot, there were no weapons of mass destruction.

Democrats are not poor. Some are. Some republicans are. For the most part (based on statistics my friend) Democrats are better educated and more likely to live in big cities.

As a republican (I assume you are) one might assume you are a hick from the south. This would not serve anyone because that would prevent understanding.

Your line of logic is limited.

Which democrats want to vote away terrorism? Why do the congress people democrat & republican keep voting to FUND the war when all they have to do is stop paying for it? ( It worked in Vietnam.)
Plenty of rich and poor people without putting a party label on them. Think Kennedy, Kerry, Pelosi, Boxer, Clinton(s) are poor? That means they have less money than you do. Gosh Vern, I'm answereing a Millionaire!

Wow! A lot of Dems are poor because the Republicans love to give rich ppl tax breaks and all around any kind of breaks. Don't be ignorant to think that you don't have a lot of democrats out there fighting the war in Iraq. OUR SOLDIERS! They have family at home too and yes they made the decision to defend this blessed nation in battle! Do you think they made a POOR decision. As long as there are greedy humans on this earth there will be war! You lay in your bed at night safe while these people fight for your life! The only POOR decision I can see that was made was electing Bush to the presidential chair. Or maybe the chair was stolen for him to sit in! Only he knows!

While I don't agree with much that you said, I have to defend Republicans from Ignorance such as Sam, I wont report you though I hope someone does, anyways, the 51% of people with a college degree voted Republican in the 2004 election, all of the categories under that, education wise, voted democrat. Now, please explain to me how all Republican's are dumb red necks with a drinking problem?? Do you even know the Etymology of Redneck? I think not. Redneck comes from the labor wars of the late 19th century, early 20th century. Union workers would wear red bandanas around their necks to symbolize the solidarity of the worker, hence they were all socialists!!! Tell me how that relates to the Republican Party!!!

look at it this way...
people voted to take power away from those who got us in this pinch we're in. make no mistake, even his bumblingness his conceded he is knee deep in it. while they stayed the course as long as humanly possible despite spinning their wheels and citing republicans and democrats alike supported him. the buck does in fact stop at the big man.
... like when your local sports franchise makes a big money move. if he's right, hail to the chief. if he's wrong, it does NOT matter who supported it. his head rolls. the buck stops there buddy.

Why do democrats call anyone who loves his country enough to defend it poor white trash? Is it that they think that they are supposed to be so intelligent or maybe they think that they are gods. They also make fun of people who believe in God, they are to be pitied.

My my, you certainly got a lot of Democratic attention didnt you?
First of all the poster that claims the poor states are Republican is mistaken. Republicans on average are wealthier than Democrats. When Dems win "rich" states, it is because the wealthy are outnumbered by the less well endowed. (Connecticut, for example)
The answer to your question is very obvious. Democrats oppose any action of the President. If Kerry were president, tyhey would support any war he entered. (Just look back to Kosovo under Clinton, roles were reversed.
It is about power, not about doing the right thing. sadly, for both Dems and Reps.

first, republicans are the poor ones that live in tornader alley with their whole family in a trailer.

second, the reason people hate the US (for the most part) is that they view us as imperialistic and invading for no reason. we are not even fighting terrorism right now anyway. Iraq has no connections to al-quida or any terrorist organization. we invaded for no reason so I can see how they would think of us thike that.

I live in tornado alley. In Kansas, the richest county (Johnson) had the highest percentage Republican in 2000, the poorest (Wyandotte) was one of two to vote Democrat.

As to defeatocrat, it was a Republican who pulled out in Vietnam and a Republican who pulled out in Gulf War 1.
