In answer to Bubba - we have Pride Parades for several reasons. Mainly to commemorate the struggle for equal rights. Many Pride events occur in June to remember the Stonewall Riots. You should attend one, its a good opportunity for you to get out a meet some good honest people.

Yuppers! Always have, always will...as long as my legs will carry me!

Chicago Pride, held the last weekend (Sunday) in June, I will be marching with AVER (American Veterans for Equal Rights)! (Formerly known as Gay/Lesbian Veterans of America/Illinois)
I'll be marching with all the other Gay and Lesbian Veterans who've proudly served in silence!

I plan on marching in the Pride Parade as a volunteer of Pink Triangle Services, which is a GLBT centre that caters to GLBT people in the Ottawa area. It'll be my second year marching in a Pride Parade, as I marched last year in support of a mayoral candidate that was gay. I may help out at the booth afterwards that will be at city hall as I would love to do both if I could.

I have everything all planned out too. I'll be marching with my gay best friend while proudly wearing a "straight but not narrow" t-shirt and holding a sign that will have the last verse of "Under Pressure" buy Queen and David Bowie (the bit that's after "Why can't we give love?"). And it's not even the end of August yet!

I may attend some Pride Week festivities as well as the one immediately after the parade itself. it depends on if I see anything that I like and want to attend.

Do you see my hand up?

No, I didn't think so. We don't have Straight Pride parades, why do you have Gay Pride parades?
