Not only are we fighting a civil war in Iraq. 9/11 then Katrina... Here's my conspiracy theory.

Bush was smart enough to know that when you live next to the ocean and three other large lakes that when a catagory 5 hurricane hits it is most likely that the land UNDER SEA LEVEL! will flood. So he paid the weather channel ten million dollars to flash "Katrina is not a threat" every once in a while during the Katrina coverage.

Then when it did hit they let all the black people sit and suffer, and that food they dropped from helicopters was actually bombs that made the people insane so they went and stole some Nike's and televisions.

The reason the CIA set up this terrorist attack is to kill a bunch of people on welfare, but at the same time give them free homes and money in hopes that they will get a job and better their lives. Instead everyone just sat back and complained about that multi billion dollar response to poor people that didn't appreciate the help.

Damn that evil Bush! I heard they even bombed the levies!

Katrina was a ctaegory 2 when it made landfall in New Orleans...the army corps of engineers knew that the levees they built could not withstand a storm, even a category 2. So the levees broke and caused all of the damage in NO, not Katrina. And it was the first time in over 40 years that a storm had hit. Too bad we don't have the resources to rebuild our own country...on account of the Iraq war, which no, I don't think was planned, but disasters also were not taken into consideration when going into war. Here's MY conspiracy theory (and this is facetious) Bush has done nothing to secure the border with Mexico, because it is all Mexicans coming in to do the work he is not capable of funding nor caring about. FEMA stands for Find Every Mexican Available

Just to pick apart somethings here. 3. I've been hearing this FEMA camp garbage since Bush and Katrina. It's bunk. 4. Nothing unusual about law enforcement and homeland defense ordering bullets. Hollow Points are in common use by law enforcement, even your local PD, and also widely available on the civilian market. Furthermore, that DHS order also supplies FBI, CIA, ATF and a whole alphabet soup of LE and homeland defense outfits for 5 years. All those LE and Defense types need to practice and qualify regularly. That consumes a lot of bullets. 5. BS. If anything, our 2nd Amendment rights have only grown stronger over the last decade. More states allowing concealed carry. Two Supreme Court rulings affirming that the right to own a gun is a fundamental right. 7. I'd like to see evidence of this martial law claim, and how it's any different from Presidents in the past.

NONAME I am very surprised at you. Hurricane Katrina is a natural disaster to humans but actually normal behavior for earth. I think that we need to stop blaming Bush, people are putting him at the level of God. 9/11, katrina could not have been prevented. all we can do is sit here and blame. everybody needs to wake up! we cannot undue the past, everything is done all we can do now is try and get off our feet and move on. sheesh!

For the record, when anything happens, poor people will always get the short end of the stick, whether you are black white or red!

are you kidding me??? hurricane katrina was not a terrorist attack... the response to the devastation could have been better but because of lack of communication those in charge didn't know what was going on... the hurricane was unpredictable just like every other hurricane... of course the government could have done more but it definitely was not a 'terrorist attack'... if it had been something like what you're explaining we would have heard about by now and those in charge and everyone involved would probably be out of a job and have severe punishments... it definitely would not cause a civil war... as we saw with 9/11 it brought the country together and everyone tried to help wherever they could... people opened up their houses and people sent money and people went down there to help rebuild and soon the city will be restored...

I really do believe the Government had a hand in making sure the levi broke at a certain location. A location not so damaging to the rich and powerful.
Now I don't like the fact that the people that were affected were so accustomed to being cared for by by Government did nothing to help themselves. All many of then did was trash things, lay around and complain. Then they got their Government money (big lump sum this time) and bought piddly things that could not possibly add to the quality of life for their future. I suppose it is really a losing cause but a cause we have to support for some odd reason.

Don't believe your theory. They decided to steal because there wasn't anyone to stop them. The storm was a storm. It was the local government who should have put more money to maintain the levees. If they didn't have the money, then they should have asked for a grant or some other way of keeping up with repairs and updates. When are people responsible to take action to try and improve their lives?

Sounds as loony as the 9/11 and JFK conspiracy theories out there - which all will sell some books sadly enough.

Katrina's too big to have been a conspiracy....

Funny, I don't remember the Weather Channel saying anything of the sort.

Also, Bush must have been one lucky bastage to get the hurricane he'd been dreaming of to hit during his administration.

Third, no love for Mayor Wonka? Who fiddled while Rome burned, then blamed everyone but himself?

No. It was simple malfeasance on the part of Nagin and Blanco. They are the ones who ignored the storm warning until 12 hours before it hit (everyone else knew about it 96 hours before it hit.)
