Regression literally means to go backwards. I think this is usually refers to what happens when a new baby is introduced, the older child tries to act like a baby again to compete for attention. I dont think its a big deal, it can be worked through or it will pass on its own.

Regression is the output reaction of our minds to reach back into a psyche that was once their own. A simple explanation is being knowledgeable to past life occurrences. It isn't bad at all in child development, it's actually quite healthy because you have a, unconscious understanding of who you are as a person.

Regression means to go back, for examplee if someone is anxious they might revert to something they did in their childhood e.g sucking their thumb. but I think kids do it for attention not because of anxiety, I think adults regress cos of anxiety/stress etc

Regression is problem of medical nature , and it inter fares with children growth.
