my mate is trying to get online via orange wireless but can get connected it keeps saying for him to turn off his firewall (which he has all ready done) but saying there is still a firewall blocking it,anyone have any ideas.

I'm not sure where your problem is. Assuming that Orange Wireless is an ISP. is it DSL.?. I'd love know what your PC Internet settings are. If you have a chance, give me a call 254-663-0041 Will. A+,Net+,Server+ and MCP.

There is also a firewall built into windows itself from SP2.
Maybe that is the one.
Personally I would contact orange as I wouldn't want to 'surf' without a firewall protecting me.

Disable the firewall and make sure your friend re-boot his computer before making any connection to the Internet

Have him turn off his firewall. That should do the trick.
