Because they either weren't aware or chose not to see. Do you honestly know what goes on in every area of your town? If the government built a new detention center, would you necessarily know if it was used for local criminals or for detainment purposes? Most people don't see what is right in front of them. Consider the time and the conditions these people lived under before judging them. I doubt you really know what you would do were you in their shoes.

Not a difficult question to answer. Just take the example of the American indians, ****** brought here as slaves, the abuses of the Mafia and other organized crime, etc., etc., etc. We humans try so hard to place ourselves above animals. We praise our superiority, and try to pretend that what comes from the darker side of human nature isn't real or happening. Also, we must consider the rampant hatred that so defined Nazi germany. Would you risk your neck, the necks of your neighbors, friends, family, or children, when making waves usually meant a very swift, often horrific elimination of the wave maker?

Maybe it's just too horrible for them to accept and it's easier to deny it. It's a psychological mechanism of self preservation.

i cant decide if this is a serious question or not. The play on words are too "clever".
if it is, there is a whole bunch of people out there who believe that the holocaust didnt happend, obviously it did, and it sickens and saddens me that people
think its some kind of hoax.

concentration camps nearer means likely tat more criminals near it ... n so u might be associated wif them ... n criminals in it may have buddies outside tat will visit n later wreck havoc in the town...
