an 86' mustang has a slightly different body style than a 92'. it is possible, but you are going to need to change a lot more than just the front bumper cover. You will need a complete body kit and will have to modify it slightly to make it all fit and look like it goes with the body of the car. It is a lot of work for a do-it-yourself job, and will cost a lot of money to have a shop do it. Go on line and go to www.mustangsunlimited.com. They have almost everything you need to build a mustang, and will be able to help you with any parts you need

You will have to change the whole bumper and you have two other pieces more to put on. the bumper extensions.
