Last year I had the most beautiful tomatoes that is until they were eaten by some type of black speck looking bugs. It looked like someone sprinkled pepper all over the plant. I even dusted the plants with Sevin Dust but this didn't help at all. Any idea what these bugs are and how I can get rid of them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

it sure sounds like a disease called black speck , instead of bugs, as you used sevin and it didn't help. this disease is getting rather more rampant on tomatoes as of late. i would check with your county agent, or check out a catalog called gardens alive!, they have quite a few great solutions for growing tomatoes. then try to find a tom. variety that is resistant to bacterial speck, and please plant your tomatoes in a different spot this year. good luck.
