To the point, violence never wins. America invaded Iraq under false premises, by the hand of George Bush, and that was destined to failure.

You are correct in your statement and, violence perpetrated by fanatical islam will never stop because of the U.S..

If we had originally did what we said we were going to do, I think it would be over for us but, with the rise of fanatical islam and our inability to capture the main character (could work hand in hand) in this mess we have slowly moved into what could be a long protracted policing action.

Rather than complain with our own brand of rhetorical nonsense which, is starting to sound a lot like our politicians, why not vote all these people out of office and give some fresh new ideas a chance... It wouldn't hurt and maybe we would see some significant change in our country, if not, we can change it four to six years from now. One thing is for sure, if we keep voting for the same people, we keep getting the same ideas.

properly, they are doing what another chief is doing, and biding their time. they don't % to risk ruining their relationship with Iran, or skill relationship, yet helping one element or the different in the previous the entire difficulty has regarded after itself out. they might think of that in the event that they condemn the violence, the Iranians will take that as a condemnation of the management, which for obtrusive motives they'd not % to take place.

Violence seemed to work pretty well in WWII. Imperial Japan is no threat to anyone, and NAZI's hold no world power anymore.

The problem with the violence in the mid-east is that it is based on tribal arguments that have been festering for more than 1000 years. People in the mid-east DO NOT WANT to stop fighting. So your claim that "mid-east fighting proves violence resolves nothing" is a faulty conclusion.

No that's not true at all. Trying to talk things out has resolved nothing. The only time when one side makes progress is when they use violence.

i disagree, violence solved our conflict with nazi germany and imperial Japan, and now those 2 nations are democratic with their citizens enjoying high quality lives, perhaps even better than our own....all because of war and atomic bombs.

Remember that imperial Japanese were fanatics who crashed planes into ships for their heavenly emperor...that fundamentalist ideology has disappeared among the japanese and the country is at peace.

not necessarily, but I feel we've gone over the top in how we use our military power. I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes when people say this: "Peace isn't the absence of conflict"

Talking sure didn't work, either. Remember the Oslo accords? The 27 or whatever the number of UN resolutions against Iraq?

You are absolutely right. Violence begets violence. That is why true, unbiased diplomacy is the only civilized and viable method to curtailing disputes.
