On Big Brother they all make fun of each others accents, why is it racist when they laugh at Shilpa's accent? Shilpa laughs at Jade's accent and theres nothing wrong with her doing so. If the others have been racist then kick them out of the house! they would deserve to be kicked out if they have been racist!

Shilpa only suggested jade need lessons on talking properly not on her accent. Also Jo laughed blatantly in Shilpas face at her accent when she asked for help when jade verbslly attacked her!!! I dont think jade is racist but they have used racism to hurt shilpa and victimise her. If they were racist they would be victimising jermaine aswell. I think they are jelous of shilpas success beuty and class. Shes not even from britain and she speaks better english than jade and danielle put together.

Everyone is always quick to label racism. The fact of the matter is that Danielle and Jade don't like Shilpa, so they would make fun of her whether she was Indian, African, English or anything else. I am certainly not agreeing with the way they are treating her, and they are bullying her, but I don't personally think it has anything to do with her culture. Where were the complaints against racism when Jermaine called Jackiey 'white trash'???

it's sad that what happened on big brother was classified as racism. it was just the inbuilt hatred that the lady had for shilpa that made her spit out the venom and poor thing it got classified as racism.
i'll give you an example of racism. it raises it's ugly head far near home itself.
have you ever seen the fairever advertisement?
the girl doesn't get married because she is dark. then she applies the cream and gets fairer in a month and starts getting marriage proposals.
shame that all of this is passed off as an acvertisement and that poor girl is made a scapegoat just because she is from the fairer race.
tell me aren't these add liable to be classified as racist??
fairever, fair and lovely, fair and handsome?
in fact, racism cannot even exist if we understand that it is good to be wheatish.
it is for our own protection from the horrible indian sun.
but how many of us are willing to accept that?
there will still be a lot of fools running after fairer skin.

It's not just about the accent. She has been refered to as "the Indian". Danielle and Jo discussed whether she ate with her hands which was the most ignorant question I've ever heard. It is most definitely bullying but are they being racist? Well I suppose it depends on how you look at the situation and what kind of person you are and the kind of experiences you've had. Let us not forget that racism stems from ignorance.

Remember these allegations have been made by viewers, not Shilpa, which seems to be the way of the world, everyone complains re PC when the victims do not.

you're one hundred% ideal! racial abuse and racism are quite 2 distinct issues, what is going on in that homestead (from what i have heard, i have in no way quite watched it) is that there is only 3 very jeleous women folk bitching about yet another, it truly is what lady do, hate to assert it, besides the undeniable fact that it truly is genuine. i imagine the way they are doing it by attacking her race and way of existence is appauling besides the undeniable fact that it truly is no longer some thing to do with Jade and the others being racist. i do not quite see why in the international anybody is so hyped over some thing Jade Goody is holding besides, why take it heavily, it truly is a woman who idea East Anglia became yet another u . s . a ., she's an entire fool, all of us understand this, so why the hell is any such fuss being made about all of it? As on your contact upon racism going both methods, you're so ideal. i do no longer understand why we are so fearful of being considered as being racist, I mean, I hate Jade and can want to in no way in a million years dream of bullying someone, racially or no longer, like her; yet why isn't it a 2 way highway? i for my section discover such issues because the MOBO awards offencive, no longer because it truly is incorrect, yet because if there have been awards only for track of white origan, there might want to be hell to pay. i imagine the entire BB ingredient is so ridiculous, some BB manager is giggling there head off on a thanks to the monetary organization at present, i haven't got self assurance for a 2d that any of those women will be kicked out of the homestead this evening, no way will channel 4 enable that ensue, all those better visitors tuning in each and each evening to video reveal the scandle, this can smash Jade and her little pals yet it truly is the perfect ingredient that has ever got here about for BB

I can see that this place is populated by a good number of closet neo-nazis. Smacks of that Michael Richards incident. The reaction on a guitar forum I posted on was very interesting in that there were those who considered his comments derogatory and racist, and others (akin to those here), who seemed to want to justify it by way of stating that 'They can call us honkies and white-boys but we can't call them something back?'. Completely besides the point...the point is that the comments were racist. They suggested that all Indians live in slums or shacks, their hands are filthy, their women stubbly and their English speaking skills terrible. All amusing, but certainly racist. Good to see some of you still keep the flag of separatism and racism waving high and strong.

I think this is more bullying than racism. Shilpa is a lady and some people are just jealous of her.

Hey..Dan O..i think its really unfair when people say that about ALL blacks or whateva. i Know sometimes they say stuff like 'white boy' etc. but theres certain ways that you approach people and you talk to people thats appropiate and not. I used to have 'race wars' with a friend from uni and he used to tell me if i got to close to the radiator wouldnt i melt (lol) cos im black and id tell him not to go out in the snow-stuff like that BUT if someone was to say that in a derogatory way i would be seriously offended if i heard someone say something like that to him or me. Racism is not a black thing- like what those asian guys did to that poor white guy and they killed him! that is racism! Ive recieved some over racist comments and abuse as well. but Racism isnt about mentioning a colour its about being IGNORANT and making assumptions on that ignorance...lets face it Jade aint really got all her matches in her box if you know what i mean... I understand people getting frustrated because the Race card gets overplayed but then there is Actual racism. Telling someone to go back to their slum-thats kinda ignorant. I dunno im just stating my opinion...
