Okay I dont watch this or nething.Me an a friend are having a disagreement because I think anime is porn or at least half of it is an he thinks only hentai is porn please help!

Hentai is a genre of anime. Normally the term is used for straight animated sex pornography. Yaoi is the term for gay sex (male/male) and Yuri is normally lesbian related sex. All of it is pornographic animation from Japan.
There are also hentai/yaoi/yuri doujinshi, which are printed books. Very similar to comic books or manga that are self published by circles and sometimes even the original creator of anime series, containing characters from already released series in different situations outside the normal storyline. (Basically you want 2 characters from Naruto to have sex, you are never going to get that in the anime series, but you will find it in doujinshi.)
Hentai series can be censored with bars or blurred areas (which is the way it is normally released in Japan) or uncensored (which is how it is normally released in the US).
Hentai series are a little different then the pornography we have in the US to a point. (There are US porns with plots you idiots!) Normally, it is just like watching an everyday anime series but it starts with a pornographic scene and usually ends with one on each episode. The are normally broke into 30 minute episodes just like regular anime, and each one has a certain degree of "hardcoreness", depending on the series. Some are more mild then others, normally called Vanilla series, which means it is romantic in nature and a little less harsh. The plots are usually weak in all, but everything else is the same just with a few sex scenes.
A lot of fans get the genre confused. Like people who say Goldenboy is a hentai.....its not. It is a comedy with no sex scenes. So it is NOT hentai. A lot of people think that all hentai has tentacle monsters and loli (underage) characters in them. They don't, it is actually more rare then most believe. It is just what the people are exposed too and how open minded they are to view more after that first impression.

Well for MY Opinion. Hentai isnt porn. Because Hentai have better plots than regular porn. But for the fact, it IS anime. It's just been looked down upon by major critics towards anime. Because even though i stick to my opinion. Hentai to the anime world is pretty much like porno to the hollywood film.

Not all anime is porn, and your friend actually is right. In fact there are three types, Hentai (heterosexual), Yaoi (gay) and Yuri (lesbian). All in this categories has soft or strong sexual context. But like I said before no all anime is porn, many are actually made for children and many have great stories and they have nothing to do with sex.

Hentai is pretty much unrated and uncensored anime. and anime isn't really like porn it once in a while might show some nudity but it is not porn. hentai is more ecchi which means perverted

no hentai means anime porn but anime is not porn there might be shows that have big breasted girls doing retarded stuff but unless they are nude showing nipples and other parts then it's not hentai

anime has a few types...
here is some i noe of..
Shounen = Action/Adventure Genre
Shojo = Love/Romance Genre
Seinen = Mature theme, sugested for more mature audiences
Shounen-ai (BoyxBoy) and Shojo-ai (GirlxGirl).
"adult Genre"> YAOI, YURI, OR HENTAI
