I'm talking about your actual street address and not just the city you're in.

Please people. I need a little more than a yes or no answer.

Technically, Yes.

Your IP can be traced back to your ISP. Your ISP will have records of which customers are using which IP address. Your ISP has your address.

So, if someone were determined enough, they could get your IP, break into your ISP's database and find out who was using that IP at that particualr time. Then they could break into the billing database and get your address.

Or, the government could just supeona the ISP for the information.

The actual chance of that happening... 1/100000000000

So while it is technically possible, it is extremely unlikely.

No. Even if you had a 'static' IP address (which you would pay extra for), that is 'tied' to your billing information. Someone would have to get your IP, hack into the ISP, hack into their billing system, and then pull your address.

Someone can find out your general area... but not "123 Any Street"

Yes, if they know your IP address they will also know your MAC address which is the unique address of your PC. If they know this information they can gain control of your PC which can only be done if you have a Trojan virus on our PC. Their are many hacking software that are free to download the only thing to keep you safe is to have a firewall and anti virus software.

Fine, you want more than yes or no...but you don't state what other information you're looking for.

With *only* your IP address, it's very very unlikely.

With your first name or some other clues, yes, it's possible, down to the street name, mailbox, etc.

YES IF YOU HAVE A FIXED IP ADDRESS WHEN USING A PROXY SERVER OR DSL MODEM ETC YOUR IP CHANGES EACH TIME THE MODEM IS TURNED OFF AND ON. THE FIXED ONE CAN BE TRACED TO YOUR PROVIDER THEN IN TURN TO YOUR BILLING ADDRESS ONLY WITH A COURT ORDER OR SOME GOOD HACKING...

Not without a court order. The IP will show up as belonging to the provider. Only they will be able to tell you who the IP was assigned to.

No - not by tracking the IP address alone. Your IP address usually isn't actually yours - its belongs to your ISP. The best they can do is find the address of your ISP.

Your ISP would know your address though - if you gave it to them! You'd have to check the laws for your country as to wether or nor your ISP would give out private information.

Yes, they would have to contact your ISP, they are the ones who would be tracked with your IP address, but then, your ISP can give them a log of your usage and they would match that to your account.
I doubt your ISP would share with anyone but Police though.

No.
The IP address gives the location of your ISP not your home.
