I am about 4 weeks pregnant and for the past week i have been having sharp pains down by my ovaries. Most of the time they are on the right side, sometime on the left. My lower back aches and it aches more when these pains come. I have a history of functional ovarian cysts, but shouldn't those have ruptured when i ovulated? On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being excruciating, the pains are a 3 most of the time. Has anyone else had this problem?

i have never had ovairian cysyts but i can tell you when i was pregnant both time with my boys i had pains on my overies in the beginning too...one side more than others and i was told that was normal. ....i had two healthy pregnancies and two healthy boys. my friend who was pregnant shortly after me had the same thing during the beginning of her pregnancy. i think its pretty normal as your body adjusts but ALWAY check with your doc about anything to be sure. just giving you my experience with two pg's :)

More than likely, it s an ovarian cyst, or functioning cyst. Cysts don't always rupture when you ovulate, as a matter of fact, until the placenta takes over, this cyst is what is needed to support the fetus. I had to have surgery in November to have the cyst removed because it didn't go away, and I was 12 weeks pregnant. Be sure to have it checked out by your doctor soon though, because there is a chance that it can be a tubular pregnancy.

Yep, i did for the first 2 months of being pregnant... it sucked :( I went into the ER and the did a whole buncha tests. They checked my blood for signs of appendicitis, they checked my urine for signs of a bladder infection, they then did an ultrasound for signs of ectopic pregnancy. All in all, they said it was good I came in because any pain like that should not be ignored. Turned out i had a bladder infection.. some antibiotics and I was finally relieved from that annoying low grade pain on my right side.

Amost everything you written is side effect of Clomid, Ovulation while taking clomid will be bit late but not this late.. Looks like you got a cyst in right ovary and that is hurting you... and these can be sign of period or early pregnancy.. so good luck to you..

I just took a test this morning and I think i'm about 5 weeks (lmp 12/9). I've been having weird pains around my ovaries that I don't remember having with my son.

I am not really sure, maybe you should call the doctor and have and ultrasound done. Maybe they are rupturing or something else, to be on the safe side get it checked out now.

If it continues or gets worse don't wait go see a ob/gyn as it could be an ectopic pregnancy
