We just recently moved from California. We never paid for water at our other apartment. We are now being charged for our usage in our apartment. We are on our own meter. Does anybody know rough estimate for an apartment with five people.

i would guess around $35-40. i live in Louisiana and for me and my mom its 13.00 but since Californias cost of living is higher and there are more people in the home, i'd think of setting aside at least 35.00

I recently lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and the water was about 12 dollars a month.

It all depends on the company but ista is a common provider for apts in SoCal. I usually run about $10-$20 for myself depending on usage. For a family of 5, I'd say you can expect around $50 a month depending on where you live.

I don't think anyone could really answer this because 1. you don't say what state you are in and 2. it's very hard to judge how much water each different family uses.

Your water bill will come in then you'll know! Sorry I was no help what so ever.

as long as you have your own meter it depends on the company selling the water. some wells are privately owned. this means they can charge what ever they want. also with 5 people you use lots of water.

Hi there!

My husband and I pay roughly $30.00-$45.00 per month for water...but since there are 5 people in your apartment you'll most likely be paying around $60.00-$75.00 per month. It all depends on your water usage---and it varies every month. Hope this helps :)
