Hi--so far I agree with your first 3 answers except, when it's really, really cold, I leave it on for my cat even when I leave for a little. Just had a new thingee installed that the electrician "programmed" (ho ho) & I prefer to adjust it when I want to, but the thing takes a rocket scientist to understand. Which doesn't answer your question! But yes, except of you're leaving an animal in the house!

If you are leaving your heater on constantly than it's no way cheaper than on a timer. Do you at least set the thermostat to a lower setting? A timer is always cheaper.

Ive personally experienced that its bloody expensive no matter what But in regards to your question it does seem to be cheaper to keep it on rather than keep booting the boiler up as this uses more gas Alternatively you could move to a hot country where there's no need for central heating! Lol

That depends on how well insulated your place is, and how efficient your furnace is. It takes more enrgy to raise temp than to maintain it in a given period of time, but if your loss is very slow due to good insulation, and if you are out for long periods of time, then a timer works better. If you are in and out, then the timer is not going to do you much good. Remember that you need to keep it above 50F in very cold weather or your pipes could freeze.

No! It's cheaper to have it come on a timer, especially if the temperature is low

Off is virtually continually more reasonable as one might want to wager. it truly is assuming you do not turn the temp authentic severe once you opt for to warmth it back up only to be tender swifter. the in reality time I actually have considered it benefit to go away it on became with baseboard warmth and all the nice and cozy temperature even as first became on went to the ceiling. yet a fan remedies that. delight in.
