Whenever im about to get my "monthly" i get MAJOR pms. Im talking bad bad bad mood swings. After the bad mood swing occurs I get the sudden case of sadness. I get really sad for whatever reason. I know i go through this because of pms, but im wondering if there is any kind of medicine I can take that can calm me down a bit. I hate the fact that I throw my boyfriend through a loop when I go through this every month. It's very annoying.

Evening Primrose capsules have worked great for me! They also help with the tenderness/bloating.

Take note of the moon cycles and lock yourself in the closet when the time is near.

Seriously though I take omega-3s, (linseed and flaxseed oil and foods with soy) they increase your estrogen naturally so you hormones don't dip so drastically. It helps a bit, makes it shorter too.

See your doctor for a perscription drug.

OR

At first sign of a bad day, call it a day and go home and go to bed with 2 shots of warmed sherry. I know EXATCLY what's in the sherry, and I know there are no harmful side effects (like prescription drugs do) and sleeping or confining myself has proven to be beneficial to my overall physical and mental health.

They have prescription medication out now. Ask your ob/gyn, but I beat it with taking birth control.

Talk to your doctor about anti-depressants. I've had the same problem before too. Just being the 'crab' from hell. LOL !!! Take care.
