In my experience Reiki sessions are completely awesome, both giving and receiving.

A Reiki healing is very powerful if you are sensitve and open to the energy. My friends who had sinusitis for 20 - odd years (i.e., all their life, until the reiki treatment) got cured of it within a few days - less than a week, and it has never returned.
In my case, as a child I was constantly down with cold, which was then followed by sore throat and then cough, totally lasting for 3-4 weeks. After reiki, the whole cycle would get over within a single week.
I agree with the statement that both giving and receiving reiki are completely awesome! What I have mentioned here is just a small incident, but apart from phyical improvement, reiki also gave me ample oppurtunities to sharpen and display my talents, besides changing my life in many, many other ways as well. I have seen the same effects in many others.

I would indeed have a reiki treatment. I too was very sceptical the first time and laughed it off . since there was little or no touching... I had more treatments and soon began to realize there was a lot going on . I got interested and began studying and practising and now have 3 levels . I also do therapeutic touch and healing touch . I understand why it would confuse people ... western methods have taken over in the past 200 years.However we must realize that energy healing has been around for sooo much longer. One should welcome the other. People underestimate the power we have to heal ourselves and others. Mothers heal ,don't they. I have seen first hand so much healing on all levels ,body mind and spirit. There is no need to defending it ...it is. It is so exciting and so promising. keep an open mind. I regularly send distant healing to others as well. I have many awesome experiences since I began. It is now part of who I am . I do not charge or advertise,things happen as they should but I have no problem with an exchange of money for healing. take care...

I am a Maste/Teacher or higher in five different forrm of Reiki.
I have use energy healing on myself lots of times. Toothaches until I coulf see a dentist, pains in joints, etc.

I had PCO, and my periods were never regular, i used to have them every other month, every three months, and once i never had it for 8 months.. I started taking Reiki courses for my self and it was not my intention to treat, But suddenly,My periods became as regular and sharp as a swiss watch !! it took me some time to relate to Reiki and i was AMAZED !

I went to dawn of aquarius on the net and got some bracelets and necklaces for me and the kids, they are pretty powerful. i have to admit i never thought it would work but it sure has. A friend of mine gave me the web address, sorry i cant find it right now but maybe if you look up her name you can find it. She is awesome
