i have this freind who thinks mcfly are better than Queen just because they sang a Queen song (don't stop me now). but iam trying to say that Queen are better than mcfly because mcfly are rubbish singers. But she says Queen are rubbish singers. i have asked other people and alot of thm say Queen and only 1 of them said mcfly. please help me with this question by saying who you like more and why?

There can be no doubt to the answer to this. Queen reign supreme!! I'm not saying mcfly are rubbish, they are good at what they do but to even compare them to Queen is madness. Queen were one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Freddie Mercury was an inspirational vocalist and lyricist, along with Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon who all brought there own unique talents (musically and lyricly) to the band and this is what made them truly great. I wonder if McFly will have a career that even spans a decade let alone four? Maybe they will but i doubt it, Its early days and they're already on the cover versions.... Long Live The Queen!!!

I don't particularly like Queen, and I do like McFly, but even I have to admit that Queen are way better. Whether you like them or not, they are one of the greatest bands in the history of music. You have to give them credit for that. And Freddie Mercury was pretty amazing.
You can not like them and still realise Queen are brilliant, just like you can like McFly even though you know they aren't good and probably won't be around for long. That may not have made much sense, but that's more or less my opinion of them both. I have a weird mind, by the way.
Singing a Queen song doesn't necessarily mean they're better - Robbie Williams did a couple of Queen songs a few years ago, but is he better? No way.

mcfly evidently sang a Queen song because Queen are so popular they hoped it would sell, and because they are struggling with their own material which is rubbish. Obviously it would be impossible for Queen to cover a mcfly song, but if the laws of time were somehow bent, and Queen were asked to do a cover of mcfly, we all know the answer would have been a definite no.

Im not particularly a Queen fan but let me see...
Queen. Many hits between 1973 and 1991, played to packed stadiums across the world, millions of albums sold, one of the most charismatic singers of all time, songs that everyone from 8 to 80 know easily (We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions to name but three), will still be selling albums in 20 years.
McFly... (anyone got anything to add about McFly?)

Mcfly will not be remembered in 10 or twenty years time. On the other hand Queen are remembered and their music will last for ever.
Lets not run Mcfly down they are good at what they do but they will break up and fade away.
Queen their music and the unique voice of Freddie Mercury will continue to attract attention and fans for years to come, they were a one off in the annals of popular music and as they and their age group fans get old new younger fans will always replace them

That's just stupid, Queen had the greatest front man probably of all time. McFly could walk passed me in the street on a daily basis and I'd have no idea who they were.
