You could try booting into safe mode. Tap F8 whilst yr PC is rebooting and select the safe mode option. Once yr in there, do all the scans you can think of. If this doesn't work, try a Live Linux disk like Knoppix which you can run from yr CD-ROM drive and use to delete any files you know are infected. You can then reboot into Windows. I'd try the first method, as you would need to download the ISO for Knoppix first and know which files you want to delete. Safe mode only loads up the very minimum of genuine Windows OS files.

I've modified this as I've just noticed an identical answer above. LOL!!!!

Remove the virus is probably the best way forward.

Boot into "safe mode" and remove it from there.

If you can't boot into safe mode, then use a virus-free operating system (such as Linux) to remove the Windows virus. As an example, you could use the Knoppix LiveCD to do this.

Another possibility is that if you have anti-virus software that creates a bootable rescue disk, you could boot from it and attempt to find and remove the virus. Of course, that's assuming that you created the floppy disk when prompted while installing the software. You wouldn't want to create a rescue disk now because it might be infected too.
