If I become a member (to check my friend's page, or have my own), will my email address be public? When I began to register I saw there was no request to enter a username, so will they use my first & last name or email address?

It will not be public, and you have the option of filtering who can view your site. You can make it as public or private as you want. Your email address will never be visible, no matter what the setting. Myspace doesn't sell email addresses, so don't worry about that.

My email address is not public, and I am on myspace. I can't guarantee you that myspace itself doesn't use it for anything though. With that said, I have been on myspace for over a year, and I have had no problems. I hope you do set up a page, I love it.

I'm on myspace. if your friends have their profiles set to private you have to be a member of myspace and on their friends list in order to view their profile.
When you setup a profile you will be asked for a screen name. you will also be given a myspace email account which you can forward to some other email account.
Be careful who you put on your friends list. I get a lot of requests from spammers.

they will use only your first name and not your email adress. your email adress is private. when you make your account, you can go to 'edit profile' click on the subheading where it says 'name' and you can enter the username that you wish to be displayed as your name. some people have their names, a quote or a line from a song, its whatever. it's all up to you and you decide what you wanna do!

Your e-mail address is public if you want it to be. They'll use your name. I put in that my name was Pat Oreo ,not my real one. Ithink you can change your profile once your already in. Just register and change the things you don't like when you're in. I think you can even change your name. They should have some options. Sorry it's not better advice.

No, your email address is never given out unless you give it to someone. All your messages are routed thru Myspace and your address is not show to others.

Yeah, they (your friends) can search you by name or email address but the info is not made public.

email is used for login. Your email is not public though. the only other way it matters is when searching. a person could search for your email exactly and find your site, but they need to know what your email is prior to searching. they can also search specifically for your name that you put in, though that is also private unless searched for.

ur email will only be used for ur friends to find you but its not going to be out in the public...u have a display name which u can change whenever u want

Once you get your account set up you can register your MY SPACE name. Until then it is just random #s. your name will not be disclosed NOR your email addy. People will only use that to search for you, so they'd have to have it to begin with.
