Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself, which means we are to love everyone. If you are following Him, then you definitely are loving more than one person, because we are to love like He did and He even loved His enemies, dying on the cross and rising from the dead for them.
When talking about marriage, I think you might need to find out what true love is and isn't. Read in the Bible, I Corinthians 13 "The Love Chapter" where it says love is patient and kind and seeks not its own way at the expense of others, Love isn't boastful or proud and always believes in the positive. This love is such that it will gladly give its life to save the life of another. It says of faith, hope and love that love is greatest. If love dies, it wasn't love in the first place, but something else like lust. Lust will always fail, but true love doesn't. If you have this kind of love for one person, then you have the kind of love that has kept my wife and I married for over 28 years. If you have it for more than one person, you are remarkable, for few find it for even just one person, which is why the divorce rate is so high.

Why question is like finding your pair of rib,you will have to such until you get a compatible rib.Falling in love does not make the person your own rib or compatible partner.Sometimes we follow the desires of our body, mind or soul. You may love a guy for his sexy accent;you may also love a guy for his IQ ,and you may love a guy for his good character. But neither of these would guarantee a successful relationship. When you meet your right partner, your relationship can last till you go to your grave and that is the love of your life. With such a person, you feel like everything (i mean all)you look for in a guy is possessed by him and things seem to go on perfect. That's the one true love.

There are different types of love. Love for a parent, for a friend, for our ex's. I think that we love in different way's, it's never the same but when that one comes, it's in a way, the whole thing, unconditional. As much as we might think we have found it, really...we know when we have. Let's hope we all will
