I took an I.Q. test today and scored a 125 it says that I have above average intelligence but I just wanted to ask other people so help if you want to.

If you really scored a 125 and have to ask this question, then it's a faulty test. I think 140 is considered a Genius.

Was it an online test? If it was then it means nothing
Only a professionally administered IQ test can give an accurate number (if there is such a thing).
If it's a real IQ test 125 would be pretty damn good, the average is 100, but then the administrator would explain the score.

A score of 100 on an IQ test indicates average intelligence, so you are a good way above average!

Because of the way the scoring is arranged.....100 is, by necessity, the "average"...
So, yes, 125 is very good....
If I remember my statistics, it puts you in the top 20% of humanity.
Now, it also depends upon your age... If you are in your 20's...it's as good as it's going to get.... If you are younger, it's going to climb a little bit more yet. If you are in your late 30's or older, the chances are that it was once a few points higher, but you're already starting to slide downhill, like everyone does..
For example....
When I was 12, my IQ was 146.....
When I was 18, it was 152...
Now, in my mid 40's it is 129.....
This is more or less typical of the age-related curve.........

yes, it is above average. Average iq scores are 85 (borderline retarded) to 100. I find that odd because 100 seems low to me. Most of my friends are between 115-150 and they are not above average in any way.

IQ tests are biased like all other standardized tests. It probably really only proves that you are book smart.
