i have had this problem with looking for myself bec they have been fake gold.try:

unfortunately not even these links have very good jewellery as it is mostly silver..they have other lovely playboy gifts you could try though..just type playboy in each of the search engines and it will come up with a few..

Same advice as bekkstaar above or another nice item from Argoose would be the classic soveriegn or clown on a chain. If she likes playboy jewellry then any of these fine Elizabeth Duke items would probably do the trick.

Sounds very classy. Your friend must be a true lady. If you can't get hold of the Playboy stuff, you can always get her a 21st brithday key on a chain from Argos. Good luck!
