Because he was a nobody. His only claim to fame was killing a person that promoted peace amongst his people.

I honestly think that people that only make a name for themself by killing someone important or famous should not get any media attention because it only breeds others to commit other horrible acts.

We don't have James Earl Ray day for the same reason that we don't have Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, or John Wayne Gacy Day. We don't honor cold blooded killers. Whether you believe in equality or not, you should not even consider honoring someone who murdered another man. He took his life. But you're not looking for a straight answer. You're just looking to stir up controversy.

You want to know why? Because the white man has made it so there is only one day for minorities, MLK day. James Earl has been in many many movies and does great voices for many characters, and he should have his own day! We should also have a day for other great voice-over people, and I am glad you brought that up. I am pushing for a Cagney&Lacey day myself.

mlk jr day is not a holiday for black people, he was man who loved every skin color, he was about peace and equality, we dont celebrate days for killers. also what do you think of christopher columbus day, i mean how could he have discovered something that people were already living on!!!!
