I already got Mcafee, but need to install another anti-virus program. Will it made the system crash?
Or made some conflict?
I used to try N--- added, but it's not work.
After Restart, Windows can't boot up.

Usually you can install more than one. *Some* would complain if another is installed and they know that they are incompatible with it. It is true that if you install two anti-virus programs, conflicts can occur. That's why most people would advise you not to do it. However, such conflicts occur only between the on-access scanning components. (You know, the thingy that's always active and scans only the files you're trying to access - not your whole computer.) So, if you don't install (or disable) the on-access component of one of the products, there should be no conflicts. Norton Anti-Virus is known to be quite aggressive, though, so you might want to try something else.

And it is not true that one of the products will think that the other is a virus, like another answer said. That stopped happening decades ago. The contemporary designers of such products usually know better than to make such trivial mistakes.

However, it doesn't make much *sense* to use two anti-virus products. They won't detect twice as many viruses as one product. Nowadays the big anti-virus producers tend to send each other samples of the new malware they receive, so most products detect pretty much the same things. Not exactly the same, of course, but the differences are not significant enough to be worth the trouble of maintaining two products.

No i do not imagine So. i imagine That it truly is Even fantastic To Have those Antiviruses operating at the same time because AVG Has fantastic OnlineSecurityy And Norton fantastic protection From Viruses that are Already In pc With The particular selection And astounding journey Of therapeutic Virused files. And once you've One Antivirus put in there is 20% possibility that you would possibly want to be contaminated With Virus And once you've 2 Ore extra Antivirus put in there is in reality 2-5% possibility To Be contaminated So i propose to save both one in all Antivirus put in. wish Helped :)

Hi, you only need one anti virus. Read the instructions...I think they all suggest using only one.....You're looking at conflicts, crashes, & freeze ups if you install more than one.

You can install as many as you like. Wether or not they will work is another matter - usually they won't.
