My daughter had an apendecitis atack a 1 monthas ago and they took her to hospital. They said that she can have it out in 1month but she thinks that she is going to die. My husband is a business man and he can aford to pay for the best doctors in Hollywood to do her operation but she still wont go and I dont want to force her. She has to have her operation in 2 days and I dont know what to do.

And how old is she??? If she's under 18 and living under your roof, she doesn't get a vote.
She WILL die if her appendix bursts (think Houdini); she will most assuredly survive the surgery and be fine as long as it doesn't become an emergency procedure .... and then even 95% of the time she'd survive then.
Sorry to say, but if she's a minor and has a mandatory surgery scheduled, you drag her @$$ in there kicking and screaming if necessary. Grow a backbone and BE A PARENT!

Dear Mam,
What ur daughter is suffering from is just a hysterical attack in which she is delusioned that if she goes to the hospital she will die.
Ideally she should see a counciller or better SOME CLOSE FRIEND should impress upon her the need of this Surgery as important to save her life so that she can be with that person for the time to come.
How old is she,if it is legal for her to drink offfer her some and have a "girl talk" e her alone explaining to her that u ll be there for her that every time she needs u .
I think its the only way out.

you have to force her to undergo the operation otherwise the apendecitis will burst and poison her body. IT IS AN EMERGENCY, DO NOT DELAY AT ANY COST. The operation will be done after administring anaesthesia, so do not worry... IT IS NOT A SO MUCH MAJOR OPERATION, JUST RELAX... Because if you do not go for the operation then she can even die...

First of all How old is your daughter??
If she is underage: Be a BIG MEANY:: throw her in the car and make her go.
I am a divorced mom of 4 ,3 of which are girls.The most unappreciated love is that of a mom.

Look it up some time, it sure helped when it was rough making that I know they will hate me decisions.

tell her look at how much attention she will get while she is laid up. and surgery is alot safer now than it was 5 yrs ago.

One thing you should have her do is to research what happens if she does not get this taking care of. Explain to her that if it burst into her abdomen that she will then allow the infection to travel threw her blood stream causing not only blood poising but most likely death. This is a serious condition that she can not take lightly. As one mom to another I would kick her in the butt throw her in the car and take her to have surgery immediately! Not many people are aware of this deadly condition since it is so common and it is a surgery that is done on a daily basis threw out the world. If she does have the op the appendix could rupture and can be fatal/This happened to 2 family members of mine..My father and my sister. I had a friend die from a ruptured appendix.Please tell her she needs to be operated on otherwise she might dieThe sooner the doctors can operate the quicker the will be fixed without the fear of dying,

I would show her pictures of a burst appendix, then tell her if she wants to die then she can not go to the Dr. This is very serious, don't take no for an answer. I would drag her *** into the hospital.Also, if she is under the age 18, she has no choice but to listen to you.

You just tell her that after one month u have made a plan for vacation at her favourite destination where she wants to go..& tell her that u have booked only two tkts. as she wouldn't able to enjoy as will not be available if she didn't get operated as it might burst in her stomach & in consequences she may lost her life..and loose all the beautiful things which she can do if she remain alive... try to convince her that there are so many things pending in life to do which can be done only if one remain alive to do that...

Put it plain and simple to her if she doesn't have the appendectomy done then her appendix will rupture and kill her or if the actual rupture doesn't then the infection that it dumps in her system will. Sometimes the scare tactic works better than anything. Also explain to her that this procedure is done every day and is nothing new so it's relatively a safe procedure. Good luck to you and her!

Ask her why she doesn't want to go. tell her if she doesn't get the surgery done now... it will pain her forever!
Doctors here are meant to help.. and they probally will help your daughter.. tell her that she really needs to get to the doctor because you don't want her to die.. that you love her very much and many ppl in this world love her too.
SHe needs to get to that doctor before it gets to late.. plus she'll be "asleep" and amneseated so it won't hurt at all.. it will hurt much less than how much it would if she doesn't go
