my eclipse 2000 2.4 engine left side coil is burning up everytime I turn car on . What could be causing this?

Computer was checked and came up ok...sparks are new...new coils were tested and did same can sensor was replaced..cicuitry is checked and left coil receives 5 v of energy while right one ( the one woorking ok) its at 11v

The electronic ignition has a shorted output to the coil and is pulling current through it full time. It's like points being stuck shut.

Could be a bad ground?
