I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend a week ago and now I'm having major abdominal pains, is this a sign of a miscarriage or can I possibly be having early signs of pregnancy?

Are you spotting with it??? It could also be a sign of tubal pregnancy and if that is the case, you should get to the ER right away.
Call a nurse at your clinic if you aren't spotting and talk to them.

I doubt that you are having a miscarriage, sometimes having sex while your pregnant can give you some discomfort, maybe next time try to experiment with finding a more comfortable position that is still pleasurable for both of you. If you keep having pain and are really wooried, it never hurts to call your doc.(always remember that).
Another possiblity is that your abdominal pains may be from having excess gas built up in your system-for that you can try laying on your left side for awhile.
In either case you can try finding a warm compress (heating pad on low) to place on your abdomine for 20-30 mins. (if you don't have a heating pad you can fold up a small hand towel, sprinkle a little water on it(just enough to moisten it) and put in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Good luck and I hope you feel better

any major abdominal pain needs to be checked out by a doctor, you could have appendicitis.

Could also be sign of cold or other virus or vaginal infection. Go see your doc if the pain is major.

What would you consider major abdominal pains? Internal pain in your guts, or period cramps, or gas, or what?
