Why don't people understand that even if you reduce the sentence it doesn't reduce his hatred for the US? The sooner you let him out the sooner he can get back to his original intentions of bombing this country.

Ah, yes, the 9th Circus Court of Appeals, the MOST overturned appeals court in the country.

Despite hichefheidi's note that courts are not partisan, the fact remains that there are very different judicial philosophies between conservative originalists and radical activists, and that the political parties subscribe to different philosophies, and interpret the Constitution very differently.

elderly who don'tpersistent haven't any photo identity, many haven't any beginning certificate. So previous human beings should not have the ability to vote, ideal? all of us understand for a reality from the 2000 Florida election that disenfranchisement is extra likely to go back from the celebration in power purging valid voters from the polls than from unqualified voters sneaking by. and finally, no election is a slam dunk for Democrats even as republicans are accountable of counting the votes...

Interesting bit of info:

"Of the 257 cases the Supreme Court heard on appeal over the past four terms, 31.5 percent of them came from the 9th Circuit. This is a far greater share than any other court, even though the 9th hears only 17.4 percent of all federal appellate cases nationwide."

If the radicals on this board were able to read and comprehend what they read they might understand that the article said nothing about anyone getting out of jail. One charge, out of nine, was dismissed and the case was being sent back for re-sentencing. Why do the conservatives seem to always get things wrong in their puny attempts to discredit liberals?.

try reading it again. he is not free and only the length of the sentence is in question over one of nine charges. any proof they are libs though?

edit. why can't you understand the story? no one is helping him get out. there is no guarantee of a reduced sentence,he may get a longer sentence. he has helped in the war on terror. his mind is pretty much gone from interrogation and isolation. it seems a valuable tool was destroyed. how old will he be in 20 years?

They follow the law. It is not their job to pander to public sentiment or the agenda of neo-con nitwits who are threatened by an independent (as it was intended to be) judiciary.

If you don't like the way a case is going, look to the prosecutors who botched it, not the judges who noticed that they botched it.

Perhaps, they are actually looking at the United States Constitution, instead of Bush's new book "The ABC's to Exploiting American Freedoms."

They are not interested in getting him out of prison. As officers of the Court they have an interest in seeing that proper procedures are followed. if he is indeed guilty, a retrial will establish that. Why do right-wingers hate Due process?
