It is very unlikely that a woman will get pregnant during the first 5 days of her period. During this time most women are not fertile.
Menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining in response of falling levels of estrogen and progesterone. Then the cycle begins again. Estrogen rises, then progesterone, to prepare your uterus to receive a fertilized egg and to stimulate ovulation.
There is risk of pregnancy if a woman has irregular cycles or mistakes some other type of bleeding for her period.

It's uncommon but it happens. And it's not about chances, it's about when your body ovulates and when you have unprotected sex. All sorts of things can affect your cycle to cause you to ovulate around the time you're having a period. Just don't take the chance.

yes,its nearly impossible to get pregnant lady! your ovulation cycle which must be of a standard 28 days,ur best chance to concieve is from the 13th day after ur periods to 15th day.that is when the egg is ready to meet the sperm and if it dosent happens then the degeneration of the egg starts which results in your periods,so the degenerated egg cant help you get pregy, got it i hope.
