AZ Cardinals were supposed to win the NFC West.

With all those weapons on offense, they should have made a wild card run.

JAX is a close second, but in fairness they lost some critical players on both sides of the ball, not the least of which were Reggie Hayward and Byron Leftwich. Kind of hard to stay consistent with players out of that caliber...

I would have to say the Steelers of the AFC who hyped to be one of the best teams just because they won the Super Bowl. But really I think the only reason they got to the Super Bowl was becuase of fate. I mean think about it every game was a surprise. vs. Cincinatti they were down 17-0 at half time then Carson palmer got hurt and Steelers win 31-17. Then vs. Indy if it hadn't been for a missed field goal and an improbable takle by Big Ben they would have lost. Then Jake Plummer's breakdown. Followed by the horrible play calling in the Super Bowl. And now we see how overrated they are the season after. Can you believe most experts expected them to go 14-2 this season.

Hands down, the New York Football Giants.

No one loses their next 6 of 8 games after going 6-2 against tough teams.
The in-house turmoil didnt help, and the coach turned out to be a putz.
They were the leading NFC East team, looking like they had the division in the bag, and blew it. Jacksonville played good all year and THEN blew it. Giants were disappointing right after the half-way mark.
Theres too much talent on that team to blow it like that......

I actually predicted Jacksonville to go far this year, but that didn't happen. Only if Leftwich could stay healthy!

The biggest disappointment this year has to be the Miami Dolphins. A lot of people predicted them to be number 1 in their division this year, well that didn't quite work out.

Pittsburgh - the emotions were not there this year. They didn't play like they wanted to win.

The cincinati bengals by far. They have one of the best defences in the leage and there defense lead the leage in turnovers last season. They should of been the #1 or # 2 in the afc but they didnt even make the playoffs. they ahd so many disapointing losses they lost that one game to the broncos becasue of a boched snap on a feild goal to make the game go into overtime. That game would of send them into the playoffs. Just look at hteir offense they have chad johnson, T.J Housh, and chris henry 3 of the best wide outs in the leage. They should of made the playoffs!

As an NFL fan, and a Steelers fan, I would have to say Pittsburg. They reining superbowl champions barely finished .500 and didn't make the playoffs, even though they didn't really lose anyone. They had a few decapitating injuries, but the reality of it was, they just didn't play that good. Very disappointing.

Either the Giants or the Dolphins.

The Giants started out good and fell apart at the end of the year.

The Dolphins got their stud QB, who turned out to be more hurt than they thought, and they just tanked. If not for their Defense, they would have lost a LOT more games.

Jacksonville for their season-long inconsistent performance vs what everyone expected.

Cincinatti for the way their season ended- not even making the playoffs on a missed extra point!!!

Steelers at the beginning of the season (personally, I can't stand the Steelers and found their performances HILARIOUS!), everyone was ready for another great year from Big Ben. Numb nuts gets into a motorcycle accident NOT wearing a helmet, and has a poor season. As far as the last half of the season, I agree with Jacksonville - flushed down the crapper.
