how come !!... I never even thought about that ... I mean never actually thought how many times ... but I do this and I think I do this quite often ... more than ever actually realizing...kinda strange...!!

Not as often as i should or even as often as I use to. I have a electronic thesaurus and from time to time if i come across a word that I don't know the meaning of, or not sure, I will check it out on the thesaurus. You are right knowledge does equal POWER!!!!

Whenever I see or hear a word I don't know, then I look up the meaning, alternate meanings and origin, if I have the time. I also love maps, when I hear of a place unfamiliar to me, I'll look in my atlas. Knowledge equals freedom (of the mind).

Sometimes I learn many definitions of the same word, which leads to utter confusion.

I bought a desk calendar with that specific theme : Word-A-Day.

I do some creative writing on the side, and I am often struggling for the perfect word. One's vocabulary can never be too big.

I read a lot, so almost everyday. I am fascinated by words and languages which is why I have a B.A. in English, and am working on an M.A. in British and American literature.

I'm not English speaking, (I know some of you probably picked that up along all the bad grammar...) so I annoy my English boss by asking her what the big words she uses, means on a regular basis... Wonder why she's not really talking to me any more???

Sometimes when I do crosswords or read an article and I have to look for sth. up in the dictionary. Not too often tough.
