Any one konw how i can make a wireless connection server type so that a few of my friends with their laptops can connect? i only find the routers but there must be a way without router. Somebody help im using Windows xp.

What you're looking for is "ad hoc networking". Search for that, and you'll find many articles explaining how to do it. Here's one from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/expert/bowman_02april08.mspx
I've done it, and it works. The key is this (from the above linked article): "Select Computer to computer (ad hoc) networks only and clear the Automatically connect to non-preferred networks box if it is selected."

No you need a router to set up a wireless network. It has to be able to assign IP address within yr network so as to direct the packets of data to the correct recipient.
