They adapted to their environment. If they were to go to CUBA they would burn up. Everyone adapts to their own area.

Animals, including humans, adapt to their climate. Whereas naturally dark-skinned people such as Africans, Arabs, Egyptians, naturally have dark skin to keep from getting a sunburn as easily. Also, some animals have more hair if they come from colder climates. This is why Eskimos dont freeze. They bundle up more and their bodies are more adjusted to colder climates than those who come from, say, Hawaii. Hope Ive been of some help to you!

Don't you get cold?
If I went outside in the middle of January wearing nothing but a t-shirt and shorts, then I'd get cold. However, like anybody else who lives somewhere that gets below freezing during the winter, I dress to keep warm.

How do you keep warm?
That depends on where I am and what I'm doing. In just normal travelling from home to work or to the store, I'm never outside long enough to get too cold. If I'm ice fishing, I can plan on being outside in -20 degree C weather for several hours, so I dress for it - long johns, jeans, sweater, button-up shirt, snowpants, down coat, face mask, scarf, thick hat, thick gloves, and bunny boots.

Central Heating. They have houses now. Before that they wore the furs of animals that kept in body heat and kept out the cold. Igloos are pretty cosy once you get inside them to but they don't need to live in them anymore.

They protect themselves with the appropriate clothing and shelter and added on to that... they are very used to it. It's in their genes also, because over the years only the strong people mated (bred) with the strong. Another example of this is why African people don't suffer so much from heat exhaustion! It's just because they have it in their genes to fit in with their environment.

They rub themselves in pepper and paprika. Its a well known eskimo secret, and if you rub your whole body in this, then seal it with maple syrup, then you can practically walk around naked and be warm as a bug.

They've been living in that climate for thousands of years, and have a dapted to living in it. They have learned what to do to survive, and pass it down through the generations.

I think it's attributed to thier use of animal furs to keep themselves warm and they eat a lot of fats to provide natural insulation.
