i have been fighting this all my life. i m 19 and i have been working for the past 5 years now trying to support my family and help pay the bills. i work 6 days a week like 30-40 hrs and i got to skool 5 days a week. but it never seems to be good enough. i give my parents my entire paycheck with the exception of like 20 dollers. my best friend lives like 5 mins up the road and i always have to give her 30 dollers for gas bec she never has any. but she spends it up her nose all the time. no one is ever happy i try and stretch my time out so everyone can spend time with me. but no one wants to spend time with me unless i have money for them. they always use the guilt trips and stuff and i can never say no bec i dont like people mad at me and all that drama. what can i do and can anyone help?

You can focus on making yourself happy and detach yourself from people who use you for money or anything else... Self-esteem issues are the problem. You have to love yourself first and sometimes that means moving away and letting others fend for themselves.

I been through the same thing and all I can say is that stop worrying about other people's problem cause they are using you and you work hard for u life. You will be pleasing them and they will never be happy. SO, I suggest that you should take care of yourfamily and your self and one day, things will change. Hard work always pays off when u least expect it.

you need to stop worrying so much about them and start worrying more about yourself. if you can get a cheap place to stay, move out and get your own apartment. There is something wrong when parents have to depend upon their children for support and they will continue to use you as long as you let them. If you want to help the friend with gas get her a card that can only be used to buy gas or even go with her when she gets it.

You can't make people happy. They EXPECT you to give to them and that's why they are around. If you are able to support yourself, then it's time to move on. Don't keep supporting your friends habit. If people around you are always mad or angry, how can you find happiness? The negativity is going to weigh you down.

they're all using u cos they know that u can take the s**t. Dont give them money anymore since they're not happy with u anyway. Find new frnds and take take of urself.

You can't "make" anyone else happy, no one can. You can only make yourself happy. Start doing that and the rest won't be such an issue.
People can't take advantage of you or use you, if you don't allow it.

what u should do is begain to cut ur self from around thoses people. It seems to me that they only want you around ehn u can give or do something for them. Dont let them use you...move on

You need to get out on your own. You're an adult now and should not be supporting your family. support yourself, make yourself happy

so what if they get mad at you, cuz them people ain't doing anything for you, except breaking you and you are letting them...leave them people alone and make new friends that got they own money...you need to be out on your own
