Whenever I'm in a public bathroom, someone will go into a stall and flush BEFORE they even sit down! I know there's nothing wrong with the toilet (as in, it NEEDS to be flushed) because I saw it before I chose my stall. Is there some secret toilet-disease I don't know about that I might get if I don't flush BEFORE I use it??

Okay you always look in the other stalls before choosing the one you want?? I have a question why didn't you use those other stalls?? Also, you actually spend time observing people in public restrooms?? No, their is not any secret toilet disease and for the life of me I think you might be spending a wee bit too much time in public restrooms.

I'm laughing. I don't know but I have heard people do this. I really have. Maybe their stall had something gross in it. Hey, I know, because I've done this myself. I have taken toilet paper and wiped the seat that may have had a little splatter on it, then I flush (sometimes without barely thinking about it) and then I put loads of paper down on the seat, so I won't get some germs. That's my theory anyway.

Some toilets have the automatic sensors on them so just standing in front of them or getting ready to sit will make the toilet flush

Agree with Doug_H.
You don't know what goes on behind the stall door. If you did, I think you would see many people wipe the seat, and then flush so they can later see what they've done without obstruction.

That's odd, I personally don't do that but they could be afraid that there is something in there or the person didnt flush or something. I think they should save water and flush AFTER.

The person in before maybe didn't flush, or there's stuff still in the bowl. I hate to think I'm hovering over someone else's waste!

Two flushes are better than one. Maybe you missed something the first time you flushed.

Nope no person places the lid down right here, they positioned the seat down, if i positioned the lid down then that could suck interior the direction of the night once I upward thrust as much as bypass, reason i dont turn on the lighting fixtures i purely take a seat, lol.

They probably wiped the seat then flushed before they used it. although i usually wait until i am done to flush - water conservation or something :)

i have done that if it looked like the person B4 me didn't flush. But I guess it's like a mental thing with some people. Good question.
