My doctor switched my birth control when I was on week one of the old. I took the last one that Thursday and started the new that Sunday, missing 2 pills entirely. This is what the pharmacist said to do. According to the old cycle I would have gotten my period by this morning. On the new it wouldn't be until next week. I have had a slight feeling of nausea a couple of times, been bloated, and I had brown cervical mucous twice over the past 2 days. Sorry about TMI. I took a preg test Saturday and it was neg. Could I possibly be preg? I would like to be but my husband what's us to be "financially ready." We have a 4 year old now. Can someone give me their honest opinions or actual experiences? I would like to know if any of my symptoms are leaning towards preg. Thanks so much for your time!

The nausea could be PMS or the pill. I know I had severe nausea with several BC pills I was on. I also had some nausea (or thought I did) once when I thought I was pregnant, but wasn't (guess it was wishful thinking or stress). The bloating could very well be PMS. The fact that you spotted tells me your period is probably on it's way soon. Also, missing a pill has caused me to spot like that before.

I would wait until you miss the period according to the new pill. You can take a test then or after.

You could be pregnant after missing a day or two, but I'd say it isn't likely.

I wouldn't worry too much yet, sometimes the change in pills can cause spotting and a missed period. I also know as far as the nausea goes when I used to take the pill I had to take them at night because of the side effects where worse right after I took them so by taking them at bedtime I was able to sleep through the worst of it. If you still feel there is an issue in a week or two (I know that will seem like forever right now) call your doctor. Good luck!!

Most prepregnancy symptoms are that of PMS!!! Which also mimic symptoms brought on by taking the pill...They way the pill works is it feeds your body enough hormone to think it is pregnant, (when you are pregnant you stop ovulating) to stop ovulation.... Your symptoms are not a good indicator. The test is usually (not always) accurate!

You should respect your husbands wants, to wait. Having kids is a huge financial drain. However you don't need to be rich, just out of debt (except maybe a mortgage) is very important. Thing will ALWAYS cost more than you thought, it is good to plan ahead! You both will be much happier & have less stress & less arguing if you both want a baby!!! Trust me wait until he is ready... You may carry it & give birth, but he works while you are home on materinty to put a roof over your head...He is an equal partner in making the baby! He is your husband, chose to love & respect him, even when you don't want/have to!

You could very well be pregnant. I was on birth control for three months when I became pregnant with my son (now 1). I also had a "period" (brown stuff) for two days the first month. Birth control is never 100%. I am pregnant with our second child and the symptoms are completely different than the first. I took 4 home pregnancy tests before it showed a true Positive. Don't stress and if you are congratulations!

That's a hard one. When you take the pill and stop it makes you get a period. It doesn't always have to be immediately it can take a week or so or you may not even get one at all. Plus you have to wait a while to take a test unless your using that new Early response. When I was pregnant I got really bad heart burn only at night time. My boobs hurt and I gained about five pounds in the first month. That's without knowing I was pregnant.

well I don't really know what to tell you. I wouldn't think that you would be since your test was negative. You might be getting ready to start your period, and that could be why you have the weird discharge. Sometimes when you change your pills like that your period will get a little out of whack. I did the same thing a few times when I had to change my pills.

Sounds like it could just be the switch in bc pills. That could give you some weird side affects. If you don't get your period by the end of next week, then maybe try another home test and if you are still having symptoms, go see your dr.

I want to say it was that fact that you changed pills. I think your body is just getting the hang of things. Hold off one more week, if your period is a no show then take preg test. Good luck.

Those can be signs of pregnancy, but I think it is too soon for those signs. I think it is just from the difference in the hormones in the new birth control pills. IF you think you are then go back to the doctor because taking bc pills while pregnant can lead to other problems. Good Luck.

I am by no means a woman, nor a doctor. In fact, I'm gay, but having a LOT of female friends, this actually sounds common from changing from one hormone (birth control) pill to another as your body attempts to adjust.

Also, when a woman is pregnant, I've never heard of mucus being present, but again, not a woman, so maybe I've just never heard of that effect.
