Percocet?

She needs to discuss this with her OB/GYN. No one here can advise her on this. Do not take them unless the doctor says it's ok. The baby will also be on Percocet.

I have hear that only Hydrocodone is safe--and I don't even know if that is, I just kind of guessed becuase that's whay they gave me after I gave birth both times, even though I was breastfeeding--and they said it wouldn't hurt the baby--so I'm not quite sure if they're okay during pregnancy though. I do know that ANY narcotic during pregnancy isn't a great idea. My doctors always told me to take Tylenol, and they also said I could take Tylenol PM to help me sleep. But before she takes ANYTHING, she should first talk to a doctor (maybe get a 2nd opinion). Gal stones are extremely painful, so maybe Percocet is allowed, I don't know. Like I said, first she should contact her doctor and do some additional research to find out the effects Percocet has on the baby. Hope this helps a little!

Percocet is oxycodone and acetaminophen which is a narcotic pain reliever with tylenol. It is NOT prescribed during pregnancy or for nursing mothers. More likely you have some, want to take then and are just hoping someone here gives you the OK so you can convince yourself it is OK. Hey, it's your baby do whatever damage you want so go for it.

If the doctor has told her it is safe to use percocet for her pain while pregnant and she is comfortable with her doc then she should use them as directed or as needed.

Pregnant and gall stones?? Surely not.

NO do not take this - not an open forum topic - see a doctor.

I assume your friend's doctor knew she was pregnant. If so, I wouldn't worry. But if there is any doubt, check with the obstetrician.
