Hi.

I am traveling across I 80 and want to stop at a ski resort for a day or two. Do you have any suggestions about where to ski? I am looking for a place that is NOT crowded (going mid week in feb) and where there is a pedestrian friendly town (can be real small) right near the base of the moutain. Preferably a real town (as opposed to one of the ski resort-built places).

Thanks for your answers.

Here you go. Snowy Range Ski area is about 30 miles off I-80 and it is great fun. There are not to many people and you can get a lot of runs in! I like this ski area better than more popular ones like Keystone.

P.S. world class snowmobiling too

Park City is nice... but very crowded...(it is also right on I-80 about 20-25 minutes before you get to SLC) you could also take Hwy 40 out of Park City to Heber City (15-20 minutes from I-80) I think there is a ski resort out there called Deer Valley.(but it might be crowded cause its so close to Park City) if you want to get off I-80 and drive about 10-15 minutes south on I-15 and go up to either Alta, Snowbird, or Brighton they are nice... but also might be crowded. If you get of I-80 and go north on I-15 (15-20 minutes)you can go up to snowbasin (I don't know if it will be really crowded). Hope this helps!!!!!

Park City, Utah used to fill that bill, but they had the Olympics there so it had a few changes.
