A "slipped" disc is a laymans term for a herneation. A herneation is the inner part of the disc migrating ouwards or protruding out of the outer part. The inner part is like loose jelly while the outer part is more like a thicker jelly. There are a few types of herneation. The inner jelly can just be migrating outwards but not be outside the outer part. If it is a worse herneation the inner jelly can protrude out of the outer part and put pressure on a nerve, that's when there is a lot of pain. Some of the jelly can come loose and float about in the spinal cord area, this is extremely painful. I have never heard of a torn disk but maybe they're refering to the loose and floating type of herneation. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm within the equal boat as you. After being driven round through Dr's, I eventually started reporting them to the American wellbeing Association. They at the moment are investigating those "medical professionals". I have discovered up to now in a yr in a part, that "MOST" medical professionals, and clinical facilitators DO NOT wish to manage staff comp. for the reason that they do not pay, and it is lengthly. That is why I'm combating and calling on politicians in my discipline and neighborhood places. I did recieve support from one. you definately want a legal professional, one YOU believe. Let him/her recognise you're worn out of the run round, additionally allow the commissioner of staff reimbursement recognise this to. What ever you do DON'T GIVE UP! That's precisely what the coverage organization needs. I have a spinal damage in my L5 & L4, bulging, herniated, slipped, so far as I fully grasp are the entire equal. I am experiencing the equal signs you're. The ache is awesome, and I had NO health care professional who could support me. I determined one, he's aspect of a ache leadership health center. Check together with your health facility, to look if there's one to be had to you. They customarily are very well approximately serving to folks like us" VICTIMS" of employee comp. coverage. If you'll be able to please inform me who the coverage service is, and what state you reside in, I maybe ready to supply you extra information, and support you. I reside in Connecticut. Workers reimbursement legislation must be modified, and I was once fortunate sufficient to uncover a legal professional, who will move to the laws this november, to battle those outragious legislation, I'd like to understand I have any individual identical to me"a sufferer" subsequent to me on this wrestle. You have certainly met a pal in me, who REALLY does recognise your ache. I wish a few of that is useful, if no longer you've got my prayers and don't forget "DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING.
