Best bet would be to improve air flow in and out of the engine. air in is improved by a larger air filter. air out or exhaust is improved by a larger tail pipe and use of a free flow muffler.

Horsepower is all about breathing. To get more power, you need to increase the amount of oxygen and fuel entering the cylinders. You can do this by adding a set of racing heads and a racing cam. You could also add a turbo or supercharger.

You can also get more oxygen to the engine by adding a NOS (nitrous oxide) setup. NOS is probably the cheapest route to power, but is also a good way to destroy your engine, if you do not do it right.

Forget the K&N filters, cold air intakes, chips and the like. If you're looking for serious horsepower those are a joke.

I would suggest trading in the old bomb for something with a little more umph under the hood.

Good luck!
