I read to day the Governments are calling for a rethink about putting the clocks backwards and forwards every year. They feel this will makes roads safer for commuting cyclists and home-bound school kids
How do you feel about it and why

People and governments have short memories. We tried it back in the early 70's and in short it was disastrous.
Firstly it never seemed to get light - 9.30 am - 10.30 am depending whereabouts in Britain you lived.
Secondly, and the reason it fell by the wayside, the number of school children being killed in road accidents in the dark mornings rose incredibly.

I think the whole world should use GMT all the time.
The GPS satalights all use GMT, Aircraft flight plans etc, if the whole world used just one time a glance at your watch and the sun would tell you where in the world you are.

What is time? at this time it is 1642 for me in the UK but for millions all over the world our clocks are different. Good Day wherever you are . . . . even if it may be night where you are at this moment.

i hate it when the clocks go back in winter and it gets dark at 4.30pm - 5pm anything to stop this depressing thing gets my vote. Winter is depressing enough without it getting dark.

how will this help it will only confuse people and how would it help since you still wouldnt be able to see in the dark so yes

they have been debating this subject for more years than i wish to remember and we still haven't got anywhere so dont hold your breath
