You haven’t given enough information to provide a meaningful answer. What are the crystals? I’d start this problem by physically crushing the rock to separate matrix from the crystal. I’d then study each component separately until you find the target method/chemistry that will work

And there are different types of pyroclasts yes? The silicates should dissolve in HF. But what about the basaltic rocks, I think basalt is some pretty tough stuff. What type do you have?
