Even in face of pure common sense it seems politicians can not make a good decision. Lets take for example the recent news about supercasino's in Britain. Despite it being obvious in the first place, and secondly being pointed out by various professionals that casiono's are going to result in an increase in gambling addictions and crime it appears that the governemnt are still considering the possibilty of bringing casino's to this country!! What idiots!!!

I do not believe Politicians deliberately set out to ruin the UK but I do agree they have the knack for making some really stupid decisions often in the face of the stark evidence. Its simple really, vote them out at the next election and maybe we should make more use of referendums such as in Switzerland and we could have avoided Iraq.

I'd agree with Dolly.

People go into politics purely to further their own career. The good of the country always comes a poor second to their personal ambitions.

Remember: The only person to enter the Houses of Parliament with honest intentions, was Guy Fawkes...

I am in entire agreement with you, regarding them not being able to make any good decisions. all they have have done is make a total mess of Britain. Didn't you know that casino's have been operating in this country since the early seventies? It wont make any difference as this country has gone to the dogs. It really hurts me the way these so called politicians have ruined our once beautiful country.

You would think so. Every common sense decision they make seems to make the country worse everyday. It seems as if they are doing it on purpose. I always have thought that they make things to complicated. Lets fix things in our own country first before we even begin to even think about trying to fix somebody elses. How in the world are we even going to begin to try to straighten out somebody elses country when we cant even fix our own?! They dont make any sense and it doesnt seem to be getting any better. Good point!

Sadly, they're as dumb as the average citizen (though I would argue they are as dumb as the dumbest citizen). They also have far too many people that they actually try to please instead of having some morals and ethics, they let popular opinion lead them.

I don't think deliberately, but their actions surely damage it and they would be fools not to at least see it
