After you pay your federal taxes, your state taxes, your county taxes, your municipal taxes, your mandatory solid waste fee, your property taxes, your automobile re-registration fee, your social security taxes, your driver's license tax, your mandatory vehicle inspection sticker tax... not much. And your rent or house payment (heh like you can buy a house) will soak of most of what's left.

Liberals will tell you that you get services for all the money you pay to government, but the fact is... you don't get nearly as much as you're paying for. Much of that money goes for the paychecks of bureaucrats and other chairwarmers, not to mention what is lost in the endless corruption of politics.

The problem is that the larger a political organization gets, the more volume there is in the pyramid that has to be supported by its bottom layer. The weight to footprint ratio increases with the total size of the organization, and that's before you add in the corruption factor, which ALSO increases with the size of the organization.

We'd do ourselves a lot of advantage by getting rid of massive governments with continent spanning jurisdictions, and have only sovereign states the size of a large county or parish -- WITH NO OUTSIDER with the power to lay and collect taxes from them, draft manpower from them, or meddle in the manner in which they see fit to govern themselves.

If you get $9.84/hour, and work the average 40 hours every week, then you make 9.84x40 = $393.60 per week. There are 52 weeks in a year, so if you worked every week of the year this would add up to $393.60 x 52 = $20,467.20.

Of course it's another story if you're working less than 40 hours, more than 40 hours, or get overtime, or don't work 5 days a week, or don't get paid for vacation weeks or sick days, or have taxes taken out of your paycheck, etc.!

This depends on how many hours YOU work in a year. Multiply that by 9.84.

If you want the approx. amount, then multiply 365 by 24 to find the number of hours in a year. Then multiply that number by 9.84.

It depends on how much you work. Assume you work full time: 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year. That's 9.84 * 8 * 5 * 52 = 20,467.20 per year. If you take time off or work fewer hours per week, you'll make less. If you work overtime (more than 40 hours a week), you'll make more.

1 year = 8 765.81277 hours. So that number multiplied by 9.84 which is 86255.5976568
Dave said the same thing but he shortened the number of hours in a year

A quick estimate is to double the hourly pay and change to thousands. $9.84 would be about $19,600. The exact amount for a 40 hour week is $20,467 so it is a close estimate.

Your question leaves out important facts. How much time do you work during that year? Do you get paid more for overtime? Do you work holidays? Do you get extra pay for holidays?

If you worked 40 hours per week, and worked 52 weeks, you would make $20,467.20 in a year!

Adjust that for other factors to get the total you will make!

There are 365 days in a year, every forth year is a leap year so time is actually 365.25 days in one year.
I assume you are working 8 hours per day so we have:
365.25(8) = 2922

If you are not working on saturday and sunday then you have to subtract that from the total yearly working hours above.

2922 - 832 = 2090
(2090)(9.84)=20,565.60

Additionally, you will have to subtract other non-paid non-working days.

Depends upon several factors including:
Number of hours worked per day
Number of days worked per week
Whether you get time and a half(or more ) for overtime
Whether you get time and a half or more for Holidays
Whether you get a bonus.

If you work a standard 40 hour/week you should make
40*52*9.8 = $20,467.20 per year which includes paid vacation.

However, you could make more if any of the above factors apply.
