i see this all the time from all sides of every issue, and we all know that its pointless to do, but i started wondering WHY do ppl do that? you see it from liberals, conservatives, ppl of most religions, ppl that follow no religion, evolutionists, anti evolutionists, etc.

is it out of insecurity, or a need to know that there are others out there like them? do they need validation of their own ideas? are they afraid of actual discussion?

what is the reason from a psychological standpoint? whats the reasoning?

I know you're mad, but I believe--------had you cared to look and maybe even print them, as I did----------Yahoo Community Guidelines #8 violation is rather intimidating. There are also other ones about getting insulting or too over-heated or talking against this or that, which make us all nervous about espousing our heartfelt beliefs and inviting comments. And that, in and of itself, is called TROLLING which is a big No No. Stay in here with us though because I like the way you write and we need "ppl" like you who (secretly) want to discuss real subjects and not just play a game for points. This does not HAVE to BE a game if you see the endless possibilities of human interaction set before you. Can I make a suggestion? Oh, please? Upper right top, click on Forum. Start trying to solve the mystery and find the bigger challenge. But you did not hear that from me!! No, not me!!! (Then find a way to tell ME what the HELL is going ON!!) Come on, because we need you!! Good Luck!! @8-) shhhhhh

From a psychological point of view, many people are attention seeking narcissists who believe their pov is the only one and that they are far superior to the rest of us .

Otherwise here I think it's bored ' children' and I use the term loosely , who think being racists, misognists, asking igorant questions is 'funny'.

Real discussion went into the toilet with the onset of ' talk' radio about 20 years ago , when the radical right decided they only wanted to hear from people who had their pov and nobody else.

Real discussion requires attentive listening or in this case being able to actually read and comprehend above a grade six readding level, having respect for the other person's viewpoint and actually wanting to learn something other than what you know in your own little centre of your universe.

I ask questions to get an answer. Discussion does not give me an answer.

It's just funny to see people get all pissed and make fools of themselves sometimes.
