I did that once, ropes for the legs, blindfold, hands cuffed behind the back. He was home later than useful, and I gave up, but had a lot of problems finding the keys for the cuffs.

Loosely, just in case they didn't come looking. It would be embarrassing for the police to find your naked emaciated body in a few weeks.
Why not just let your lover tie you up? Don't forget the blindfold.

I'd let the boyfriend do it. Just b/c I weren't want to be stuck like that forever.
