She taught Me so much - how to love unconditionally, compassion, respect, how to laugh. Just the thought of her, makes me smile, when we are together, literally, one of us laughs so hard we need to run to the bathroom. She lives in florida now, and I miss her, but I speak with her often. Thanks - I enjoyed conjuring up the memories.

Everything. We are extremely close and have very similar personalities. We talk almost daily, even though we are thousands of miles apart. She has always supported my decisions whether she liked them or not, and never said "I told you so". She is always there for me and is honest. She tells me what she thinks even if it's not in my favor, but in the nicest way possible. I think respect was the most important lesson she wanted to teach her children. She was always a good role model growing up. She's still an inspiration to me and always will be. What a great Q! It's nice to see positive Q's and answers!

Her quiet strength an dignity with how she dealt with all of life's problems. Especially wars. She was married to her first husband for just one week when he shipped out on Christmas day, 1944. She never seen him alive again. He was killed at Remagan in Germany. Her brother was in the Pacific for four years before he came home. Her second husbands(my father) brother spent 2 years in the Korean War. Then in '68 it was my turn, along with several of my cousins and numerous friends and neighbors who went to Vietnam. Now my daughter is married to a Marine currently on his fourth deployment to Iraq. Along with all that she had to deal with my father who was very abusive. And, the death of my sister from cancer. She taught me that no matter how bad things get, the sun will always come up tomorrow and you have a brand new chance to make the new day better than yesterday.

I love my mom soooo much! She taught me about love and life in the fact that she actually had me and didn't abort me or give me up for adoption when I was born! She chose to step up and actually be a mom and be responsible! I don't know who I would be without my mom! She is my rock and I know I can go to her if I ever need anything! Just knowing that my mom loves me (and my brother) makes me smile! :):):)

The way she used to try to embarass me in a grocery store or in public like saying strange stuff out loud or dance in the isles to the crappy music. Sometimes she for no reason would plant a big noisy kiss right on my cheek even when i was like 30 years old. It just showed she loved me even if i thought most of what she did was just not what a mother was suppose to do.

Everything about my Mom makes me smile, she's the best in this world.
She taught me to respect others as well as yourself. Take time out for yourself and meditate. And dont' give your heart away so quickly until you know it's the right person.

My mom taught me that every moment in life counts. She taught me to laugh at the little things that go wrong in life. My mom had cancer and she has made a lasting impression in my life. She taught me that we should not only live like everyday is our last, but also to make sure that every moment counts.

My Mom was a little crazy, suffered from depression and had a strange view point.
But she was great care taker and I know she did her best for us, even though money was tight and she was a single mom.
My sister and I always had a good laugh at the things she said and I appreciated the way she would try to do special things for us, like pack a picnic and go to the park.

It makes me smile knowing I have a mother. Im grateful to have her as my mother,to feel a mothers love,to share a smile with her,a recipe,to just be able to call her when I need to vent. I love my mother and that makes me smile. My mother taught me to never be what society WANTS you to be,always be yourself..go in with a smile and make them wonder what you are up to. Love others around you as you love yourself. Treat everyone as a whole, never seperate..take care of others that need to be cared for..hold them when you see that they need your arms to hold them.
I thank my mother for molding me into what I am today...it made me a great nurse.
